How to Become our Featured Artist

How to Become our Featured Artist

AT DOCKSIDE, WE LOVE TO HAVE LOCAL ART UP ON OUR WALLS. We believe it is important to integrate art into public settings in order to inspire people and increase their awareness and appreciation for the arts. We also believe it is important to let artists at all levels of their career have an opportunity to exhibit their work. Cannabis is an ally to the creative mind after all, so together, let’s invite our neighbors to be witness.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SHOWING AT DOCKSIDE:
We accept submissions on an ongoing basis as we rotate exhibitions bi-monthly. The store layout and functionality of the space may present natural restrictions on some three dimensional media. If you are unsure about that, send us an email describing your work and we will let you know.

HOW TO SEND US YOUR WORK:

Curate your work based on a theme and let us know the theme. Whether you choose to email us or send images through the mail please include corresponding information about media, size, dates and a short artist statement or bio.

Email images of each piece you propose to go up in store as a one of the following file types: .tiff, .jpg, .pdf, .png OR provide a link to your images online and indicate the works you would like to exhibit. Please use the subject line: “Art Exhibition Proposal for Shoreline/Sodo Store” specifying at which store you prefer to exhibit your art. Send TO: art@docksidecannabis.com

You can also send us images by mail directly to the store where you would like to show your work. Please don’t send originals. Please DO send a self addressed stamped envelope if you wish to have your materials returned, otherwise they will not be returned.

NOTE: Images don’t need to be professionally taken – cell phone pics are fine.
